Ever since our foundation in 1907, we have developed technologies to meet changes in the market through early recognition of the latest trends. Currently, we are concentrating our resources on the stainless steel pipe joint sector. The ratio of stainless steel pipe joints has now reached over 95% of all our sales, and we have become experts as specialist manufacturers of “stainless steel pipe joints”. Accordingly, we sought to expand the sector for stainless steel pipe joints from welded joints for plants to those for construction, and also entered the market for flanges, drive joints, mechanical coupling fittings and prefabricated processing, becoming in the process the largest all-purpose stainless steel joint manufacturer in Japan. We have recently been working on technological developments for titanium, aluminum, and duplex stainless steel, which are far more difficult to weld and press, and have also succeeded in our efforts to develop joints for LNG installations and tankers in accordance with the rigorous standards demanded by law, such as the Electric Utility Law and Gas Utility Industry Law. Our efforts to provide a wide range of joints for piping in many fields are unrelenting.

Now & Future

MIE Techno Co., Ltd. has continually devoted itself to monozukuri or manufacturing, and celebrated its centennial anniversary on June 8, 2007. While handing down our high-level technology and skills to the next generation, and cultivating the "MIE brand" to be synonymous with high-quality welded joints, we are now on the path toward being a specialized manufacturer of stainless steel pipe joints, together with our group companies."MIE" brand is well known for its high-quality stainless steel, titanium, aluminum and higher grade pipe fittings, and has responded to various needs not only in Japanese market but in overseas markets especially in the South-East-Asia. In 2011, ranking the overseas business development as one of the important growth strategy, we established MIE-K (Shanghai) Metal Techno Co., Ltd. in China. As our new production base, it responds to the demands for high-quality by Japanese-affiliated businesses in the rapidly expanding market of China as well as surrounding countries. With the Tokyo Olympic as well regional developments, the demands for fire hydrants, building and facility piping, and water and hot water supply piping have been increasing. To cater to such growing demands, we released “MIE-K” brand housing type pipe fittings in January 2015 and expanded our medium-size product range. Besides, we introduced manufacturing equipments to make a full-scale entry into the business of fittings for LNG vessels and the business of prefabricated piping, which enabled us to produce large volume of products with high quality and quick delivery. MIE Group aspires to create new piping systems in the world by consistently focusing on the quality of pipe fittings under "MIE" brand.
